Entry-Level Commercial HVAC Maintenance Technician

Seattle Mechanical Inc. is growing, and we’re looking for a motivated Entry-Level Commercial HVAC Maintenance Technician to join our team. If you’re mechanically inclined, reliable, and ready to build a long-term career in the trades, we’ll provide the hands-on training and support to help you succeed.


You’ll work alongside experienced technicians servicing commercial HVAC systems across office buildings, retail centers, and industrial facilities throughout the South Sound and greater Seattle area.


What You’ll Do


  • Assist with preventative maintenance on commercial HVAC systems (RTUs, split systems, boilers, etc.) 
  • Change filters, clean coils, and perform routine system checks 
  • Support troubleshooting and repairs under guidance from senior technicians 
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean job site 
  • Complete service reports and communicate effectively with your team 
  • Follow all safety standards and company procedures


What We’re Looking For


  • High school diploma or GED
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude 
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn 
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record 
  • Ability to work on rooftops, ladders, and in varying weather conditions


Preferred (Not Required)


  • HVAC trade school or related training 
  • EPA 608 Certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days) 
  • Basic knowledge of tools, electrical, or mechanical systems
